Drake’s highly-anticipated For All The Dogs album dropped Friday (October 6). The rapper was trending in more ways than one on X (formerly Twitter), with his name being the number one trend all morning. His other aliases, including his real first name, Aubrey, were scattered throughout the trending page. “Rich Baby Daddy” is one of our personal favorites that has popped up, his 20th song on the 23-track album. “Drizzy” is another one of Drake’s names, and that was trending as well. Of course, his 5-year-old son Adonis made the trending page as well, as he provided the album artwork, he was featured in his music video for “8AM in Charlotte,” and he made his rap debut, providing vocals featured on “Daylight.”
The Cost of For All The Dogs
As we previously reported, Drake, 36, pushed back the release of his eighth studio album with the “dilemma” of canceling his show to finish the album or “complete the mission” and drop the album before the last show. For All the Dogs is out now, while his last date for the It’s All A Blur Tour ends in Columbus, Ohio, on Monday, October 9. Drake’s last album was a collaboration with 21 Savage titled Her Loss, released last November. Honestly, Nevermind was his last solo album, released in June 2022.
Following the release of For All the Dogs, Drake announced he is taking a hiatus from music to take care of his health. Per the New York Post, Drake said he will be talking more about that “soon,” adding that it’s “Nothing crazy, but just like, you know, I want people to be healthy in life.” Offering a little more context, Drake said he has been having the “craziest problems for years with my stomach.” Now, the father of one said he needs to get that right, so the studio will be locked away for a “little bit” so he can focus on his life.
