Martha Stewart Posts Another ‘Thirst Trap’ Photo
Martha Stewart is known for a few things: she’s a television show host, entrepreneur, bestselling author, and now, a thirst trap-posting extraordinaire. The 82-year-old lifestyle guru posted her yearly sultry selfie on Instagram over the weekend, which she has been famously posting since the summer of 2020 in the Hamptons.
On Sunday (September 3), Stewart was in Italy’s Hotel Castello di Reschio. Accompanying her seductive-looking selfie, Stewart’s caption to her 1.9 million followers read: “The #castellodireschio is a 13 century castle remade by a very creative couple into a special resort of extraordinary quality. The heated pool in a stone tower was the perfect place for a new selfie! Dark. Candle lit. Mysterious. Relaxing before a massage and ablutions prior to @brunellocucinelli_brand founders 70th birthday in Solomeo.”
Commenting on the post, which has nearly 40,000 likes, one person said: “Thirst trapping… I see you Martha [sticking tongue emoji].” Another wrote: “You need a Benjamin from The Graduate!” A third commented: “My autumn mood board in a single image.”

Last February, Martha showed fans how to create the perfect thirst trap selfie in an advertisement for a beauty brand on TikTok. The television personality gave her followers a short “thirst trap 101” tutorial while using the Japanese beauty brand Clé de Peau Beauté. In the video, she is standing in front of her famous thirst 2020 thirst trap via greenscreen effect. “Oh yes, this was some of my best work,” she said before sharing “the tea” on how she creates the “perfect selfie.”
“First, project fabulous,” the voiceover says as Stewart blows a kiss to the camera. “Next, only conceal where needed. Being effortless is key,” she adds while holding the brand’s stick concealer in her hand. Next, she applies a light layer of Clé de Peau Radiant lip gloss, telling viewers that just “a touch” is needed. “Then say the magic phrase, Clé de Peau, Clé de Peau, Clé de Peau,” she says while shrugging her shoulders.
