As we wrote on Monday, The Hawkeye star had been airlifted earlier Sunday to a hospital from his Nevada home near Mt. Rose-Ski Tahoe. His spokesperson said his family is with him now. He is “receiving excellent care.”
Today (1/13), we wrote that Renner had been transferred to the intensive care unit following surgeries required after his traumatic “weather-related” accident at his Nevada home on New Year’s day. “We can confirm that Jeremy has suffered blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries and has undergone surgery today, January 2nd, 2023,” his rep said in a statement to Deadline. “He has returned from surgery and remains in the intensive care unit in critical but stable condition.”
The sheriff’s “major accident investigation team” is looking into the circumstances surrounding Sunday’s incident, Sgt. Vietti said. As we earlier reported, the area where Renner was staying was recently hit by a snowstorm on New Year’s Eve that resulted in 35,000 homes across Northern Nevada’s Washoe, Carson, Douglas, Storey, and Lyon counties losing power.
