Betty White Dead at 99
The beloved actress and comedian Betty White has died at the age of 99.
Law enforcement sources told TMZ that Betty passed away at her home Friday morning. As of now, there has been no word on the cause of death.
Betty began her acting career in 1939 but one of her most famous roles was playing Rose Nylund in The Golden Girls, which ran from 1985 to 1992.
The legendary actress shared her talents on-screen with multiple productions including The Mary Tyler Moore Show, The Love Boat, The Bold and the Beautiful, Date with the Angels, Life with Elizabeth, and her own show, The Betty White Show and many more that are included in her eight-decade long career.
The treasured American icon has numerous accolades to her name including multiple Emmys, Screen Actors Guild Awards, American Comedy Awards, and a Grammy for her spoken word album If You Ask Me (And Of Course You Won’t).
In 2018, at the 70th Emmy Awards, they honored the comedy icon for her trailblazing career, and prior to her death, she had the longest-running career for any woman in TV.
Her passing was just weeks before her milestone 100th birthday on January 17.
