Janet Jackson Drops Trailer For Her New Documentary ‘Janet’
Janet Jackson is letting fans into her life, in her own way, with the new documentary, Janet.
Janet Jackson has previewed the trailer of her two-night documentary, which will air in January 2022 in celebration of the singer’s 40th anniversary of her first album, Janet Jackson.
The documentary is star-studded and will feature those closest to Janet such as her famous brothers, including tidbits from her late brother Michael Jackson. The doc will also have celeb including Mariah Carey and Paula Abdul.
Per Variety, the documentary has taken about five years to complete. The special will follow Janet through the loss of her father, Joe Jackson in 2018 and will also include archival footage from large moments in the star’s life such as the 2004 Super Bowl performance with Justin Timberlake. The film will also show a glimpse of Janet’s road to motherhood as she welcomed her first child in 2017.
The film is executive produced by Janet and her brother Randy Jackson. Rick Murray from Workerbee and Brie Miranda Bryant from A+E Networks will executive produce alongside the Jacksons with Ben Hirsch directing.
