Megan Thee Stallion Is The First Female Rapper On Sports Illustrated
Grammy-winning rapper Megan Thee Stallion is making history as the first female rapper to cover Sports Illustrated.
The Houston native shared her excitement to her followers via Instagram Monday morning.
“REAL SPORTS ILLUSTRATED SWIMSUIT EDITION COVER MODEL SHIT!!! 😛🔥, she wrote in a caption of her cover to Instagram. “Thee first female rapper on the cover of @si_swimsuit 😭😭 I want to thank all the strong women in my life who inspired me to love my body and live my best hot girl life. It means the world to me to be on this cover DREAM COME TRUE!! 😛 #SISwim21.”

The Savage rapper also posted other pics from the sexy shoot in a different post shouting out her swim collection collab with Fashion Nova.

The other two covers of Sports Illustrated feature tennis star Naomi Osaka and transgender model and actress Leyna Bloom who also made history by gracing the coveted cover.
Osaka is the first Japanese-Haitian woman to be on the cover.
In an emotional post, Bloom reflected on what her cover means to the trans community, “This moment heals a lot of pain in the world. We deserve this moment; we have waited millions of years to show up as survivors and be seen as full humans filled with wonder.”
The actress went on to thank her team and dedicate her cover to “all ballroom femme queens past, present and future.”
