Tiger King’s Joe Exotic Launching Cannabis Line From Prison
Joe Exotic has an upcoming business venture from the inside of his federal prison cell — he’s launching his own cannabis line, gossip website TMZ reports.
The Tiger King star came up with the idea last July and it’s been set in motion since then. His attorney, Brad Small, told the gossip site that they have a deal locked for Mr. Exotic to partner with Tango Hotel Charlie Group, LLC and Cannaxxs LTD to launch Joe Exotic Cannabis.
Apparently, Joe has been directly involved in the weed industry through calls and emails with his attorney. The deal includes the various companies financially taking care of the funds with Joe’s name attached to the products.
Small told the gossip site the products include CBD edibles and will be sold in dispensaries throughout California, Colorado and Oklahoma. Even though recreational THC is legal in California and Colorado, only medicinal is approved in Joe’s old turf in Oklahoma.
According to TMZ, part of the reason Joe is dabbling in cannabis is to help those who use cannabis to ease their pain from various ailments.
Small says the launch will happen in the forthcoming weeks, and a share of Joe’s profits will go towards captive tiger care. Joe said in the year since the Netflix docuseries dropped, his life has been a living hell. That includes when he became distraught after his husband told him that he was leaving him.
