Billie Eilish: ‘Your Power’ Music Video, Fan Reactions
Billie Eilish released a new song paired with a music video last night from her forthcoming album, Happier Than Ever, which comes out July 30.
The video for “Your Power” takes place in a desert. We fly in slowly on a rock face, and you can start to see Eilish come into view. She is well-hidden with the rocks, since her outfit is sandy in color and now that her hair is platinum, doesn’t make it easy to catch like her previous lime-green roots and black hair.
Once we land on Billie, who is sitting on a rock’s ledge, she croons a sad melody:
I thought that I was special
You made me feel
Like it was my fault, you were the devil
Lost your appeal
Does it keep you in control? (In control)
For you to keep her in a cage?
And you swear you didn’t know (Didn’t know)
You said you thought she was your age
How dare you?
And how could you?
Will you only feel bad if it turns out
That they kill your contract?
Would you?
Then cue the massive anaconda slithering on Billie’s lap, slowly making it’s way to wrap completely around her neck. Billie is unfazed by this, going about singing passionately until the video makes its way to how it started, but in reverse. The camera begins to zoom back out from where it began.

The video has been up for less than 24 hours and already has garnered almost 11 million views on YouTube, hitting #1 on Trending. Billie fans are highly anticipating the new album, and with the newly released video for “That Power,” here’s what they had to say:
A YouTube user commented underneath the video, which got 11,000 likes saying: “Whenever i listen to her songs I feel really worried about her. She has the most unique concepts and the lyrics ‘you said you thought she was your age’ seem like something really bad happened to her in the past. Maybe she’s just writing songs from what she sees in the world around her. But her music never fails to leave a huge impact on me for months to come. Personally I’m still not over ” everything i wanted”. And I feel like this one is also gonna keep playing on my mind for a long time.”
