Logic In Trouble After Avoiding Non-Profit Fee For Music Video
Logic is in trouble – and it concerns his video called “Super Mario World.”
In the video, the person dressed as Mario is requesting that he is able to record something on the boat for a school project.
According to HotNewHipHop, Carolina Salguero, the president and founder of New York-based PostSide that operates the ship, is quoted saying that “Logic and his team pretended to be high school students to shoot the video. Salguero often lets high school students to use the ship for their projects for free. Logic and his team claimed to be doing a ‘summer school project.’ Salguero later agreed to let them shoot on the ship for free if they supplied a copy and properly credited those in the video. At the end of the video, the man in the Mario suit actually claimed to be shooting his scene for a project, which Salguero says wasn’t staged.”
He also said that looking at Logic, he thought he was a high school student because “he’s so scrawny,” and the videographer, who had “graying hair at the temples” looked like his dad.
They have since discussed paying out the PortSide company according to HNHH, and the money goes toward programs for disadvantaged youth.
Fingers crossed it happens, because that would put Logic and his team in a really bad light if they didn’t make the situation right in the long run.
