NEW YORK, NY - JULY 21: Actor Chadwick Boseman attends the "Get On Up" premiere at The Apollo Theater on July 21, 2014 in New York City.

As we previously reported, Chadwick Boseman succumbed to colon cancer on August 28 and the Black Panther star was laid to rest on Sept. 3. The beloved actor was buried in South Carolina near his hometown at Welfare Baptist Church Cemetery in Belton six days after he passed at his Los Angeles home, according to People.

When Boseman passed, the actor was at home with his wife and family near his side, as his publicist told the AP at the time. The 43-year-old actor’s family had previously stated that the actor had been diagnosed with colon cancer four years earlier. However, Boseman hadn’t publicly spoken about his diagnosis.

To commemorate the actor mostly known for his roles in Black Panther, 42, Get On Up, Marshall, Gods of Egypt, Da 5 Bloods, and Avengers: Endgame, we’ve created a gallery of the star over the years.
