Of course, since the story is both sad and romantic, many of her fans reacted online. Some of them even shared some similar stories, and they are equally as heartbreaking. Read some of them below.
That happened to my great grandpa 🥺 2 days after great grandmas funeral he passed from a broken heart . They were almost 90 and had been together since they were 15 😪

My grandparents passed away with one week between them. My granddad died the day after her funeral - he said "now I can rest too". Still breaks my heart, but it's so beautiful.

So sad. My mom passed away tw years ago and my dad had a mild heart attack a month later but the Dr said it was more like a broken heart. They were married for 54 years

My great grandfather was near vegetative for 4 years after a series of strokes, we never knew if he understood what was going on around him, but less than 2 weeks after we told him his wife had passed in ger sleep, he passed on too. True soul mates.

My grandparents died like that. Both were in the hospital. Grandpa died in the morning. When Mimi woke up that afternoon, they told her he had passed, and she just said “good night my love” and dramatically turned away and died.

My uncle became sick at my aunts funeral and joined her 2 weeks later. They had been married 50+ years. There was some clinical term put on his death certificate, but it was most definitely a broken heart. ❤️ to you & your mom

I am a hospice medical social worker. We had a patient pass away from Alzheimer’s and he would always talk about their love and their life together before she passed. Two days later her husband (who was seemingly healthy) was found passed away in his sleep in his apartment.
