Billy Ray Cyrus Files For Divorce 7 Months After Marriage
Billy Ray Cyrus and his marriage with singer Firerose is officially over, only seven months after marriage.

According to gossip website TMZ, the “Achy Breaky Heart” singer, 62, submitted the legal documents for divorce late last month. With no children conceived between the couple, it is noted that there are no minor children involved in any custody.
The divorce marks the end of Billy Ray’s third marriage. He and Firerose wed in October 2023 after a little over a year of engagement. As we previously reported, the two met while on the set of Hannah Montana. They stayed in touch, and Firerose asked Billy Ray to hear some of her music. She said, “Our friendship was so solid over the years.”
Firerose, 34, celebrated their six-month wedding date in an April post with a loving caption on Instagram. “6 months ago I married this man,” she wrote alongside the couple’s wedding photos. “[white heart emoji] Life isn’t always easy… but it sure helps when your husband’s also your best friend. Thank you Lord! [white heart emoji].” In her latest Instagram post, celebrated eight years of sobriety.
Meanwhile, Billy Ray’s last post of the couple together was back in April on a boat with their dogs. The two wore matching sherpa boots. It is to be noted that since the two got together, the country singer has been constantly posting about Firerose and has not since the last April post. Neither Billy Ray nor Firerose have commented publicly about the divorce since our publishing, but they have unfollowed each other on Instagram.
The “In the Heart of a Woman” singer was married to songwriter Cindy Smith from 1986 until 1991, when they divorced. In 1992, he had a son, Christopher Cody, with a former girlfriend named Kristin Luckey. His second wife is Tish Cyrus, whom he was married to for three decades, and they had three children together: Miley, Braison, and Noah. Tish welcomed daughter Brandi Cyrus with then-husband Baxter Neal Helson in 1987. Six years later, Brandi was adopted by Billy Ray following his wedding to Tish.
Tish and Helson also share a son, Trace Cyrus, born in 1989. Like his older sister, he was adopted by Billy Ray in 1993.
Tish filed for divorce in April 2022 and remarried to Prison Break alum Dominic Purcell. The couple hasn’t gone without their hardships since their August 2023 marriage. There have been reports that the youngest daughter Noah had a romantic history with Purcell and Tish and Noah's relationship has been strained since.
