Fans Troll Ed Sheeran’s Secret Talent
Ed Sheeran attends the 66th GRAMMY Awards at Crypto.com Arena on February 04, 2024 in Los Angeles, California.
Ed Sheeran is a talented musician, proven by his longevity, album sales, and worldwide tours. When the 33-year-old “Shape of You” singer isn’t in the studio, he showed fans another artistic side to him. He shared with his 47.6 million Instagram followers: “When I’m not touring or making albums I’m doing this.”
Fans Troll Ed In The Comments
One fan commented on the clip, “I do this, too, but the security at Home Depot always makes me leave.” Another named him: “Leonardo da Sheeran.” Others called him “Ed Pollock,” like famous abstract paint-splatter artist Jackson Pollock. A third asked Ed to do him a personal favor: “I’ve got a couple of doors need painting Ed? X [heart emoji] lol.” Using his “Bad Habits” lyrics, another fan wrote: “My bad habits leads to painting on the floor [fire emoji, laughing emoji].”

More fans continued to troll Ed in the comments, with one person saying, “Make a mess? [surprised face emoji, laughing emoji].” One fan wrote: “My toddler eating Bolognese.” Another bluntly commented, “Bro’s onto nothing.” Using one of his album titles to troll the artist, another fan wrote: “That’s some hobby you need to Subtract.”
Despite the trolling, Ed’s post received over 250,000 likes on his paint platter video. Ed’s fan page, Ed Sheeran HQ, received some painting behind-the-scenes photos of the singer-songwriter posing confidently in front of his huge canvas.
Sheeran’s latest album, Autumn Variations was released back in September, marking the musician’s seventh studio album. Autumn Variations focuses on a specific season of Ed’s life. In an interview with CBS, Sheeran said the album was created during the time his wife, Cherry Seaborn, was pregnant with their second child Jupiter, and was diagnosed with cancer and when he lost his best friend Jamal suddenly. Fans believe his painting is a hint that new music is on the way, or at least a new album cover.
He is currently on his Mathermatics tour, stylized as his “+–=÷×”tour and will be performing again next month on May 3 in Florida. By the end of the month, he will be performing in Boston and California before heading over to Europe throughout the summer.
As Ed released two albums in 2023, the artist announced in November that he released his “final thing” for “a while.” While sharing Irish singer Foy Vance’s anniversary edition of “Guiding Light” alongside Elton John and Keith Urban on Instagram, he added that the song is also his “final collab for a very long time it’s time to knuckle down into the next big album mode.”
Ed Sheeran’s 10 Best Lyrics That Warm (Or Break) Your Heart
Singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran knows how to make some of the saddest lines upbeat. His lyricism is top-tier, accompanied by his acoustic guitar and infectious pop melodies, and the Brit often strikes musical gold. Born Edward Christopher Sheeran on February 17, 1991, in England, he developed an interest in music at a very young age. He sang at a local church choir at the age of four. As we previously reported, Sheeran developed a stutter after undergoing surgery to remove a birthmark in his early years. He was gifted Eminem’s The Marshall Mathers album as a kid by his uncle. The album helped him to grow out of it. When he was nine, his uncle told his dad his nephew would be “the next Bob Dylan.” After learning the 2000 record and “rapping it back, to back, to back, to back,” it cured his stutter.
Sheeran’s Rise To Stardom
Gaining more confidence, Sheeran learned how to play the guitar and started writing songs when he was eleven. Two years later, at thirteen, Sheeran began recording music. He independently released his first collection of work, titled Spinning Man. In 2008, he moved to London, playing music in small venues and on the street. That same year, he auditioned for the ITV series Britannia High. Since the show’s producers were looking for triple threats, Sheeran’s dance skills proved to be highly uncoordinated, so he got cut. He wasn’t too torn up about it, able to admit that everyone auditioning really wanted to be cast.
He released another EP in 2009, titled You Need Me. He and fellow English singer Leddra Chapman recorded covers with each other often, including CeeLo Green’s “F— You.” In 2010, Sheeran released his critically acclaimed Loose Change EP, which featured his future debut single, “The A-Team.”
