Nick Cannon And Abby De La Rosa’s Son Has Autism
Nick Cannon and Abby De La Rosa are opening up about their son Zillion’s recent diagnosis. The pair chose World Autism Awareness Day on Tuesday (April 2) to share that their 2-year-old son has been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
In a joint Instagram post, Cannon and De La Rosa wrote: “Today our family recognizes World Autism Awareness Day which is beyond meaningful to us because our amazing 2 year old, Zillion, was recently diagnosed with ASD – joining the unique energy of others like Niko [Tesla], Sir Isaac Newton, Albert Einstein and Michael Angelo, just to name a few dynamic individuals. Our beautiful boy experiences life in 4D and teaches us something new everyday! His love, strength and brilliance light up every room he enters! We are blessed that God had placed such an amazing spirit under our guardianship and we have accepted this assignment wholeheartedly!”

The parents, who also share Zillion’s twin brother, Zion, and younger sister Beautiful together, concluded their message by reaching out to embrace other families worldwide impacted by autism. “Together, let’s create a world of acceptance and compassion.”
The Mayo Clinic defines ASD as “a condition related to brain development that impacts how a person perceives and socializes with others, causing problems in social interaction and communication.” It can cause repetitive behavior and has a wide spectrum of symptoms and severity.
In a series of photos, Cannon, 43, is dressed up as the Easter bunny, while his daughters and Abby are dressed like bunnies, and twins Zion and Zillion wear matching green striped outfits.
Cannon recently spent Easter Sunday with his 11 children, sharing posts on Instagram of the family time, as well as charity work for Zen’s Light Foundation. Back in November, the America’s Got Talent host said that the holidays are his “favorite time of year.” He told ET before Christmas that it’s “all about the kids,” so we will see Nick doing “some fun, over-the-top stuff.”
He shares twins, Moroccan and Monroe, with his ex-wife, Mariah Carey; Rise Messiah, Powerful Queen, and Golden Sagon with Brittany Bell; Beautiful Zeppelin and twins Zion and Zillion with Abby De La Rosa; Halo Marie and his late son, Zen, with Alyssa Scott; Legendary Love with Bre Tiesi; and Onyx with LaNisha Cole.
As we previously reported, the Wild N’ Out host revealed he spends the most time with his “beautiful daughter Onyx.” He’s with her at least three times a week for the full day, adding that he and LaNisha have a “super strong understanding, and our co-parenting operation is so solid.”
Despite spending most of his time with Onyx, Cannon wanted to make it clear that it doesn’t interfere with the amount of time he spends with his other kids. “Not against all my other kids because all my other kids, they’re in school, they’re babies, as well as Onyx,” Cannon said. “But the fact that I appreciate that LaNisha gives me the respect enough to allow me to have her really, an equal amount of time as she does.”
