Diddy’s Homes Raided By Law Enforcement
Sean “Diddy” Combs’ homes in Los Angeles and Miami have been raided by Homeland Security, according to TMZ. The outlet reports that agents for Homeland Security are raiding Diddy each of the aforementioned properties.
The publication reports that law enforcement is “walking through the house with guns drawn, and there are people being questioned in the front of the house.” There is no indication that Diddy is home at the properties. According to FOX11, photos of individuals outside the homes have been detained. The exact reason behind the raid has not been announced, but reports claim it is tied to the sex trafficking allegations.
“Earlier today, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) New York executed law enforcement actions as part of an ongoing investigation, with assistance from HSI Los Angeles, HSI Miami, and our local law enforcement partners. We will provide further information as it becomes available,” a rep for Homeland Security told TMZ.
Diddy’s Legal Troubles Amid Home Raid
In the past few months, Diddy has made headlines for lawsuits regarding sexual assault, sex trafficking, harassment, and more. Diddy has denied all of the allegations. Back in December, in a a woman filed a lawsuit, as Rolling Stone learned. It was filed under the pseudonym Jane Doe; the accuser claims the alleged incident happened in 2003 when she was in the 11th grade. Combs was 34 at the time. She claims she met up with Diddy and Harve Pierre, who was the president of Bad Boy Entertainment, inside Combs’ recording studio in Manhattan.
She claims that Pierre and an unnamed man met up with her in Detroit and then flew her to New York. Upon arriving at the studio, she was fed a “copious” amount of intoxicants where her coherency began to “blur,” the lawsuit alleges.
The lawsuit alleges that all three men raped the alleged victim that night in the bathroom of Combs’ studio. At one point, the lawsuit alleges that Combs watched her being raped from outside of the bathroom as he sat in a chair.
After the sexual assault, the 17-year-old “regained her bearings” enough to walk with some assistance to get in a car so that Combs could put her on a plane back to Detroit. It’s noted in the lawsuit that she has a “very limited recollection” of the return flight and “only remembers being in her car sometime early in the morning.”
According to the alleged victim’s attorney, the alleged rape was part of a sex trafficking scheme.
“As alleged in the complaint, Defendants preyed on a vulnerable high school teenager as part of a sex trafficking scheme that involved plying her with drugs and alcohol and transporting her by private jet to New York City where she was gang raped by the three individual defendants at Mr. Combs’ studio,” Douglas Wigdor said in a statement per NBC. “The depravity of these abhorrent acts has, not surprisingly, scarred our client for life.”
Diddy Speaks Out Amid Gang Rape Lawsuit
Diddy broke his silence, maintaining his innocence on the lawsuit shortly after news broke.
“Enough is enough. For the last couple of weeks, I have sat silently and watched people try to assassinate my character, destroy my reputation and my legacy,” he said in a statement to Rolling Stone. “Sickening allegations have been made against me by individuals looking for a quick payday. Let me be absolutely clear: I did not do any of the awful things being alleged. I will fight for my name, my family and for the truth.”
