Jennifer Lopez Cancels Tour Dates Amid Weak Ticket Sales
Despite Jennifer Lopez’s major rollout before her new album This Is Me… Now, the singer is now holding the bag for her tour. Lopez, 50, released two companion films and her ninth studio album last month. The singer and actress hasn’t released an album in ten years, but the artist has canceled seven dates of her first tour in five years.
According to Ticketmaster’s website, the dates from August 20th to the 31st in cities Cleveland, Nashville, Raleigh, Atlanta, Tampa, New Orleans, and Houston were listed as canceled on Wednesday (March 13), with the Cleveland and Houston dates removed from the itinerary earlier. An updated itinerary was posted on Lopez’s social media accounts.
While the tour still has 30 shows scheduled, it is noted that many seats are left unsold, as the seating charts on the ticket-purchasing site show. As Variety points out, although seating charts aren’t a completely accurate way of judging sales, there are a lot of available seats The cancellation notice reads: “Unfortunately, the Event Organizer has had to cancel your event. No action is required to obtain a refund.” Even with the removed shows, three more dates were added in Miami, Toronto, and New York. Lopez self-financed her $20 million three-part multimedia project, Variety recently reported.

Reacting to the artist’s low ticket sales, fans took to X to share their reactions. One person commented on the news: “4k for a meet & greet VIP lounge tix…. Like huhhhhh.” Another person calling out the high prices wrote: “Charging upwards of $1500 thinking she’s Beyoncé.” A third person stated: “Everyone’s poor after Eras and Renaissance.” Meanwhile, one fan criticized the artist and said, “She lips syncs most of the show and uses a back up singer to do most of the other singing sadly.” Another fan snarkily commented: “I heard it was because Ashanti wasn’t available on those days.”
