Oreo is kicking off the new year with its "Space Dunk" cookie. According to the brand, it offers a special blend of "cosmic-flavored crème" backed by popping candy between its signature chocolate cookies. The cookies also have five new cutout designs, which include a rocket, shooting star, astronaut, telescope, and illuminated star. This is the first time Oreo will have small cutouts in the cookie. This allows you to see the colorful crème through the cookie.

"Lift-off with Oreo."

With the launch of Oreo’s new cookie, they have teamed up with Space Perspective to offer a special giveaway. One lucky person could win a trip on Space Perspective’s Spaceship Neptune. Interestingly, they say it’s the world’s only carbon-neutral spaceflight experience that’s propelled by SpaceBalloon technology.

According to Space Perspective, the capsule will reach 100,000 feet above 99% of the Earth’s atmosphere. The person who scores the space trip will be able to "safely enjoy unprecedented views of planet Earth" from the "largest windows ever flown to space."

If you’re wondering if you need some sort of special training, the answer is no.

They said that no special training is required and there’s no weightlessness or heavy g-forces involved.

"Oreo cookies are all about transporting fans to a place full of excitement and childlike curiosity," Michelle Deignan, vice president of Oreo U.S., said in a statement. "We’re over the moon about partnering with Space Perspective to give one lucky fan the opportunity to dunk an Oreo cookie while gliding through space. Through this campaign, we hope to take playfulness to new heights, proving it is not only in all of us, but also exists in space."

Your chance to embark on a six-hour journey to the edge of space in Space Perspective’s Spaceship Neptune kicks off on January 23. Meanwhile, Oreo’s Space Dunk cookies will hit shelves starting on January 29.
