Taylor Swift Reveals ‘1989’ From The Vault Tracks
Taylor Swift’s re-recorded version of her 2014 album, 1989, is out on October 27. This marks the singer-songwriter’s fifth “(Taylor’s Version)” of her previously released albums. Swift, 33, teased on Instagram Tuesday (September 19): “You can tell me when the *search* is over… if the high was worth the pain. [sunglasses emoji].” The “search” the award-winning musician spoke of was a Google campaign that consisted of searches of her name to make a puzzle for fans to solve. Swifties were to complete a whopping 33 million puzzles to unlock the track titles from the vault.

Google explained in a blog post that after a user searches “Taylor Swift” in the Google search bar, a blue vault will appear. Fans can click on it to solve one of the word puzzles. There are 89 puzzles to solve in total. “Dying to see how this one ends? We promise that the wait isn’t gonna be forever, but the prize will definitely be worth the pain,” Google’s blog post reads. “Cause darling, we’re a Swiftie dressed like a search engine.”
Vault tracks are songs that didn’t make it to the final version of Swift’s previously released albums and have appeared on every re-record that the artist has dropped so far. Four of the five track titles will be: “Is It Over Now?” “Now That We Don’t Talk,” “Say Don’t Go,” and “Suburban Legends.” The title of the fifth vault track is still a mystery left for fans to decode. However, the Taylor Nation X account shared a clip of Swift’s initial video teasing the puzzle, which showed a graphic of a vault with the letters “T-S-!-U-L” emerging from it. “But what about the 5th #1989TaylorsVersionVault track?” Taylor Nation captioned their post. Fans debated whether the jumbled word spells “slut!” or “lust!”
Meanwhile, Pop Base reported that one of the puzzles spelled out “Sagittarius,” which could be a collaboration with Nicki Minaj. Swifties noticed during the recent MTV Video Music Awards that the “Anti-Hero” singer told host Minaj, “That’s my favorite Sagittarius right there.” Minaj’s birthday is on December 8, while Taylor, who is also a Sag, celebrates her birthday a few days later on December 13.
As we previously reported, Swift called 1989 her “most FAVORITE re-record I’ve ever done because the 5 From The Vault tracks are so insane.”
