Khloe Kardashian on Her Cheek Indentation Left by Melanoma
Khloe Kardashian is addressing how her face has visibly changed since her 2022 “skin cancer scare” and what she’s doing to fix it. Writing on her Instagram Story Tuesday (September 19), the Good American co-founder shared a close-up mirror selfie of her cheek, with a noticeable dip in her cheek from where the tumor used to be. Khloe, 39, had a melanoma spot removed last year on the cheek. She wrote over the image: “Not that we needed the arrow to show the huge indentation on the side of my face but because we had to remove a tumor from my cheek, I was left with an [indentation].” She added that she is “definitely not complaining” because she would rather deal with the indent than melanoma any day.
The Kardashians star shared a series of before-and-after snaps of her cheek and revealed that she is now getting the indentation filled with cosmetic injections. Alongside another close-up of her cheek indentation, she said she waited over nine months to get it filled to “make sure medically everything is all safe.” Next, Khloe shared the progress of what the injections did to fill up her cheek to bring her face “back together.” She also thanked her “Armenian tribe” for working “WONDERS” on the indentation and added that getting it filled “will always be something” she has to do “due to the mass.”

According to the Skin Cancer Foundation, melanoma is one of the three major types of skin cancer. This includes basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma melanoma, and Merkel cell carcinoma. Kardashian also praised the work of her surgeon Dr. Garth Fisher for removing the tumor last October. “Not only did he remove the tumor and made sure that I am completely cancer free but he did such a f—ing stellar job on making my scar as small and beautiful as possible,” she shared with her 312 million followers. “I never imagined that this tiny spec would turn into skin cancer and I can’t fathom what could have possibly happened had I not gone to the doctor to get it looked at.”
