Per People, a source says that the singer will be keeping a really expensive gift the rapper gave her. Tyga had an $80,000 Mavani & Co. Jewelry necklace custom-made for the Canadian rocker. It features black and white diamonds that spell out her name. She has featured many photos of herself wearing the necklace on her Instagram as recently as earlier this month.
Gossip website TMZ reports that despite having broken up a few weeks ago, the two are on good terms. The decision to split was mutual, as the relationship has run its course. Both artists are in the studio working on new music separately.
Avril and Tyga's Relationship Timeline
Lavigne, 38, and Tyga, 33, were first spotted together in February when they were seen hugging after having dinner with friends at Nobu. Though an insider said that the two were "genuinely friends and nothing more" at the time, they left together in a car. Days later, Lavigne's engagement to musician Mod Sun had ended less than a year after his proposal in Paris. "Avril and Mod Sun have been on and off for the past two months but are no longer together as a couple," a source said. They attended a pre-Grammy event in Los Angeles earlier that month.
In March, Lavigne and Tyga set off for Paris together, where they were spotted on multiple outings during Paris Fashion Week. The couple attended Leonardo DiCaprio’s party at Kùkù restaurant and were photographed kissing outside the Mugler X Hunter Schafer party. A source said then, "Tyga and Avril are getting to know each other. It’s very new. It’s very casual."
An insider told People in late March that the "What the Hell" singer and Tyga were "very into each other." The source added, "They're still not exclusive and just getting to know each other. They're taking things very slowly to be on the safe side and really get to know each other before diving into something serious, but they are spending a lot of time together."
