Scarlett Johansson Is ‘Too Fragile’ To Be On Social Media
Scarlett Johansson attends the 92nd Annual Academy Awards at Hollywood and Highland on February 09, 2020 in Hollywood, California.
Scarlett Johansson recently revealed why she hardly uses any social media. The Black Widow star discussed her absence from most social media platforms in a new interview this week, attributing it to being too sensitive.
“I honestly am too fragile of a person to have social media,” Johansson, 38, said. “My ego is too fragile. I can’t deal with it. My brain is too fragile, I’m like a delicate flower. I have enough anxiety.” She admitted that she experimented with the idea of joining Instagram. The actress was even on the app “once for three days.” It didn’t take long for her to delete it after she got too immersed while looking at someone else’s posts.
When she realized she would spend 20 minutes looking at somebody’s Instagram page who worked for a friend of hers, she felt her time was wasted. “I now know you have a pit bull, two daughters, and live in Burbank,” she recalled. She would then compare herself. “I now feel like I should move to California, get this specific dog and change my life in all these ways.”
She added, “I felt so bad, like I was missing out on this random person’s life. I can’t do this. I’m too fragile, I have so much anxiety about other things.”
TikTok For Fun
She stays away from most social outlets for the most part. But the New York native does go on TikTok for her skincare brand, The Outset. “[TikTok is] definitely fun,” Johansson said. “Every time I see it in our office, I then become like a three-year-old with her mom’s phone where I get completely absorbed into it.” She joked, “So, that’s how I know I can’t have it.”
Scarlett Johansson Doesn't Age: 10 Years of Being Youthful
Scarlett Johansson is one of the most beautiful actresses in Hollywood. She began her acting career at a young age, making her film debut as John Ritter’s daughter in the fantasy comedy North (1994) at age nine. She says that when she was on the film set, she knew intuitively what to do. Johansson shifted to adult roles in 2003 with her award-winning performances in Lost in Translation and Girl with a Pearl Earring. For the last decade or so, Johansson has had the iconic role as the Black Widow, AKA Natasha Romanoff, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
In her personal life, Johanson was married to Ryan Reynolds from 2008-2011, then Romain Dauriac, whom she has an 8-year-old daughter named Rose with. In 2020, the Marriage Story star married comedian and Saturday Night Live writer Colin Jost. The couple welcomed a son named Cosmo in August 2021. When asked how the two came up with the unconventional name, Scarlett revealed during an appearance on the Kelly Clarkson Show, “We just threw a bunch of letters together. I just really thought it was charming and our friends liked it.” Noting that “Cosmo is a really sweet little flower that comes in different shades of orange and yellow and stuff like that,” the actress continued. “That’s why my daughter liked it too.”
Whether you like action movies or drama movies or just beautiful women in general, it’s always a pleasure to see Scarlett Johansson on the big screen. Take a look below at how nothing has changed from the actress over the past 10 years besides her hairstyle:
