Fayetteville Woman Wins Nearly Half-Million In Cash 5 Jackpot
A Fayetteville woman is nearly a half million dollars richer, as she won a recent North Carolina Education Lottery Cash 5 jackpot.
Teresa Logan bought her $1 Cash 5 ticket using the lottery’s Online Play system, and won $491,451. She matched all five white balls in last Wednesday’s drawing.
“We’ve just been soaking it all in,” Logan said. “Me and my husband like to play Cash 5 on our phones. He told me that night, ‘Don’t forget to play your Cash 5.'”
Logan collected her prize Monday, walking away with $350,160 after required state and federal taxes were collected.
“I logged into my account and saw the amount flash on my phone,” she said. “I told my husband, ‘Honey, we won, we won.’”
Logan said she plans to use her winnings for their retirement and to do some home renovations.
