Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s Divorce is Settled
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have finally settled their divorce gossip website TMZ reports. Kim first filed for divorce February 2021. The former husband and wife of seven years have resolved both child custody and property-related issues. According to the settlement, Kim, 42, and Kanye, 45, will get joint custody with “equal access” to their 4 children. However, sources told the gossip site that Kim will have the kids more than that, with Kanye admitting and acknowledging that she has the kids 80% of the time.
Per the terms of the settlement, Kanye will pay the Skims founder $200,000 a month for his share of child support. The money is due the first of each month, wired to Kim’s account. In addition, he’s responsible for 50% of their kids’ educational expenses, including tuition. He will also be responsible for 50% of their children’s security expenses. As far as if there is ever a dispute regarding the children, Kim and Kanye agree they will participate in mediation. If one of them fails to participate, the other gets to make the decision in a dispute by default.
As for property, the division of assets is in accordance with their prenup. According to the prenup, both Kim and Kanye waived spousal support. As we previously reported, the divorce process with Ye has been difficult as he’s stalled when going through half a dozen lawyers and blew off depositions. One source said, “Kim’s patience was tested, but she handled things calmly and ultimately Kanye came around.”
