Machine Gun Kelly Doesn’t Think We Landed On The Moon
Machine Gun Kelly accepts the Favorite Rock Artist award onstage during the 2022 American Music Awards at Microsoft Theater on November 20, 2022 in Los Angeles, California.
As if Machine Gun Kelly couldn’t get more cringe. with His outfit at last night’s (November 20) American Music Awards was ridiculous (see our red carpet ranking below). But the rapper-turned-rocker also doesn’t believe in science. While being presented the award for favorite rock artist, MGK alluded to the conspiracy theory that people landing on the moon never actually happened. “There have been some people in the rock community who called me a tourist, but they’re wrong.” He added, “I’m a rocket man. We weren’t born on the moon but we looked at it and we were curious and then we went there… supposedly… and these two rock albums were me going to the moon.” Before defiantly walking off stage, he added, “I’m not done exploring the universe yet. I’ll see you on Mars, motherf—ers!”

Moon landing conspiracists believe that the 1969 Apollo 11 landing ,in which Neil Armstrong took his first steps on the moon, was a hoax by the US government to win a space race.
MGK, real name Colson Baker, playfully hinted at his AMA outfit inspiration on his Instagram Stories, posting a split photo of himself in the suit beside a photo of a purple sea urchin. “Do you guys sea what I was goin for.”
2022 AMA Red Carpet: Train Wrecks and Dazzling Stars
The American Music Awards are taking place tonight live at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, hosted by Wayne Brady. Bad Bunny leads the nominations this year, with eight nods, including a nomination for Artist of the Year. He could tie Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston for the most awards in a single year should he win in all eight categories. Beyoncé, Drake and Taylor Swift each have six; Beyoncé and Swift will face off in three categories: Artist of The Year, Favorite Female Pop Artist and Favorite Pop Album. Adele, Harry Styles and The Weeknd each have five nominations. The hottest artists in the music industry are facing off for the awards, but what we’re more concerned about is what they wore to the event Sunday (Nov. 20).
