Adele’s Las Vegas Residency Tickets Are Going For Over $40k
If you’re planning on seeing Adele in Vegas, your pockets better be rolling in the deep, because some seats are being sold for upwards of $40,000 a ticket!
At a minimum, a seat for the first rescheduled night on Friday, November 18 costs $750, per reseller platform Stubhub. The highest-priced “Weekends With Adele” ticket reaches all the way up to $41,280. Tickets will be available for purchase on Ticketmaster starting on August 10, with those who had previously purchased tickets or been on the waitlist for the residency’s initial dates would have priority.
The singer announced on Monday (July 25) that her residency would run from November through March after being originally set for January before Adele postponed the dates the day before.
“Words can’t explain how ecstatic I am to finally be able to announce these rescheduled shows,” the singer wrote on Instagram. “I truly was heartbroken to have to cancel them. But after what feels like an eternity of figuring out logistics for the show that I really want to deliver, and knowing it can happen, I’m more excited than ever! Now I know for some of you it was a horrible decision on my part, and I will always be sorry for that, but I promise you it was the right one. To be with you in such an intimate space every week has been what I’ve most been looking forward to and I’m going to give you the absolute best of me. Thank you for your patience, I love you. Adele.”
Per Bloomberg, Matthew Rados, associate director of Gametime (last-minute ticket marketplace) product operations, said the spike in ticket prices can partially be attributed to the show’s postponement. “Adele is one of the most popular artists in the world and does not put on many live performances,” he said. “This is the fundamental reason why there’s so much demand for these shows.”
