Andrew Garfield Hilariously Calls Out Tom Holland’s Fake Butt Claim
Andrew Garfield is clearing the derri-air about Spider-Man: No Way Home co-star Tom Holland’s claims of a fake butt being used by at least one of his predecessors in the film. During his Thursday (April 28) appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Garfield said, “He’s just stirring the pot—old Tom, he can’t help himself. You know, there’s an expression that we have in entertainment, which is, ‘We want to put bums on seats.’ You know, we want to get the audience sat and paying their tickets.”
According to Andrew, his co-star knows how to get his audience’s attention very well. “Tom is pretty great at creating subgenres of games for you all,” the actor added. “While you’re in the cinema going, ‘Well that butt doesn’t look real. Tobey’s looks like it might be real. Could Andrew have that much a–? Maybe! Potentially.’ All I know is that I am totally unmodified and that’s all I can share,” he shared, adding that his fellow Spider-Man is “very good at marketing.”

Earlier this year, Tom quipped about his co-stars possibly having padding when they filmed the 2021 movie. “I’ll give you a spoiler, and I’m not gonna tell you who, but one of us have a fake a– in their suit,” he told Seth Meyers during his February appearance on the late-night show. “You can figure out that for yourselves. I remember being on set and being like, Wow! Oh, hang on a minute. Nah, that’s not real.”
And just two days later, in what seemed like a dose of added fun, Tom shared a behind-the-scenes photo of all three actors on set recreating the infamous Spider-Man meme from the ’60s where multiple Spider-Mans are pointing at each other.
