Adele’s Postponed Her Vegas Gig Because Of Failed Production Demands
Adele said Covid-related delays were forcing her to reschedule all of her Las Vegas shows, which were supposed to kick off last Friday (January 21) at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace Hotel.
However, multiple sources connected to Caesars Palace claim the real reason the show is being delayed is because Adele’s displeased with the production, gossip website TMZ reported.
Sources say Adele was unhappy with various set pieces, a choir, the sound system and other items associated with the show. Several sources say they couldn’t satisfy the “Easy On Me” singer’s production demands, who apparently felt numerous elements “were not good enough.” Regardless, Caesars hopes Adele will be ready for her February shows.
Caesars staff were “shocked” when Adele canceled at the last minute due to the crews working on the show since at least December. One source told the gossip site that this was not a matter of them trying to pull it together last minute, but that Adele was never happy with the results. The staff at Caesars also deny any COVID, though they cannot verify the status of Adele’s crew.
Adele announced on social media last week, “I’m so sorry, but my show ain’t ready. We’ve tried absolutely everything we can to put it together in time and for it to be good enough for you, but we’ve been absolutely destroyed by delivery delays and COVID. Half my crew and team are [ill] with COVID and still are, and it’s been impossible to finish the show.”
She added, “I’m gutted — I’m sorry it’s so last minute, we’ve been awake for over 30 hours trying to figure it out, and we’ve run out of time. I’m so upset, and I’m really embarrassed and so sorry to everyone that traveled to get [to the show]. I’m really, really sorry.”
