Zendaya And Tom Holland Discussed A Future ‘Euphoria’ Cameo
With HBO’s hit series Euphoria returning this weekend (January 9) Zendaya discussed the new season… and also talked about her boyfriend and Spider-Man: No Way Home co-star Tom Holland’s campaign to get him to make a guest appearance on the show.
Back in December during a Q&A with IMDb, Tom Holland and Zendaya answered fan questions, with the first one asking if Tom would ever make a cameo on his girlfriend’s hit HBO show. “When will Tom get a cameo on Euphoria?” The question read. “Listen, I have been petitioning this for a long time and it has not happened yet and I’m very disappointed.”
“I must’ve come to visit Euphoria at least 30 times this season,” Tom continued. “I want to be in Euphoria!” Zendaya was in agreement, saying they should have “Easter egged” Tom in the drama.
According to Zendaya, Tom “supported me through the whole season,” revealing that the two have “talked about” him making a cameo. The star added, “You know, we joke about sneaking him into the background and seeing if someone can spot him.”
When it comes to season 2, however, don’t expect to see Holland making a secret cameo. But it certainly seems like a possibility down the road, should the series get renewed for a third season.

Of the new season, Zendaya said in a new interview with ET that there are “a lot of emotions that are attached to this because this show, unlike anything else, is so personal.” After season 1 concluded in the summer of 2019, HBO renewed Euphoria and the series went back into production in March of the following year before the coronavirus pandemic led to an extended shutdown. While the series released two specials since then, filming of season 2 didn’t resume until April of this year and took most of the year to complete.
“We live with it for such a long time,” Zendaya explained. “I mean, it’s not like a movie where you kind of live with the character for a portion of their life and then you let go of them. We’re with these characters for a long a– time. We feel very emotionally invested in them and in the project in general.”
“I hope you guys like it,” Zendaya said. “It’s very difficult in that way to let go of it. You’re never done with it. And then you share it with the world and then it’s kind of scary sometimes. But I’m definitely proud of the work we’ve all done. I’m proud of how far all these characters have come.”
Season 2 finds the characters picking up where things left off after the winter formal as they ring in the new year. Watch the trailer for Euphoria season 2 below, premiering Sunday, January 9.
