Mariah Carey’s winter reign has been full-steam ahead since Thanksgiving ended (or in her mind,  since Halloween ended, and as the undisputed holiday classic once again hits the top of the charts globally, we have to wonder — how much does the Queen of Christmas make off her royalties?

First released in 1994, “All I Want For Christmas Is You” seems to achieve more popularity each year.

Celebrity Net Worth calculates that Carey, 52, receives somewhere between $600,000 to $1 million each December from “All I Want For Christmas Is You” alone.

Back in 1994, Mariah was 24 and her then-husband and manager Tommy Mottola forced her to make a Christmas album. It reportedly only took 15 minutes to write and compose “All I Want For Christmas Is You.” With global sales of over 16 million, the song is Carey’s biggest international success, the 12th best-selling single of all time, and the best-selling Christmas single by a female artist overall.
