Khloe Kardashian Reacts To News Of Tristan Thompson’s Baby
Days after news broke that Tristan Thompson is facing a paternity lawsuit from Maralee Nichols, Khloe Kardashian is “ignoring the noise.”
As we previously reported, Thompson is being sued by a personal trainer named Maralee Nichols over pregnancy and child-related expenses. In the lawsuit, Nichols said that she became pregnant with a baby boy following an alleged sexual encounter with the Sacramento Kings player on his 30th birthday this March.
Thompson shares son Prince, 4, with ex Jordan Craig and welcomed daughter True with Kardashian, 37, in April 2018. Shortly before True’s arrival, Thompson was caught cheating with multiple women. While Khloe and Tristan initially stayed together, they split in February 2019 after he kissed family friend Jordyn Woods.
Kardashian and Thompson quarantined together during the pandemic last year, with a source revealing that in August that the pair were giving their relationship another try. This June, however, the couple called it quits once again, with a source revealing that “there was no drama” between them and that, “They remain amicable toward each other and will continue to co-parent.”
Amid news of the paternity suit, a source told E! News that Kardashian is “ignoring the noise” and is “focused on co-parenting.” E! News confirmed yesterday (December 6), that Nichols gave birth last week.
According to Nichols’ lawsuit petition to determine parental relationship, which was filed this June in Los Angeles, she is requesting “reasonable expenses of pregnancy and birth” as well as legal fees from Thompson. She is also seeking full legal and physical custody of her son, while requesting that Thompson be granted visitation rights.
In his own declaration filed in Los Angeles, Thompson acknowledged that he and Nichols had sex in Houston on his March birthday. He requested a paternity test to determine if he is the father of her child. In addition to the question of the paternity of Nichols’ child, Thompson and Nichols are embroiled in a legal dispute over where the case should be handled. Thompson previously argued in a lawsuit filed in Houston that the matter should be settled in Texas—where Nichols allegedly lived when they had sex—while Nichols said in a response that it should be settled in California because that’s where they both currently reside.
Nichols also argued that the paternity case should be handled in California because she believes Thompson “thinks forum shopping in Texas will save him money ultimately in child support.”
