Eminem’s Ex Kim Left Behind a Note With Suicide Attempt
More details from Kim Scott’s attempted suicide last month have surfaced, including an apparent suicide note left behind before her attempt to take her own life.
As we previously reported, Eminem’s ex-wife was hospitalized following a suicide attempt during which she became violent with law enforcement. Police and emergency workers responded to a call of a suicidal person at Kim’s home in Michigan on July 30.
When help arrived, Kim was so combative, that she had to be restrained by deputies and was so violent, paramedics were unable to check her vitals.
Sources say it appeared that Kim had cut herself, as she had several small lacerations on the back of her leg and a large amount of blood was on the floor. Kim was then rushed to a hospital for both medical and psychological evaluation but has since been released home to recover.
Now, audio from the 911 call a friend made at the scene reveals more shocking details about Scott’s suicide attempt. The Sun reports it obtained audio from the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office in which an unidentified woman reports the incident to a male 911 dispatcher. Though all names have been edited out of the recording, the outlet reports the woman tells the dispatcher that Scott, 46, “tried killing herself,” reporting that she was found bleeding in the bathroom of her home.
During the frantic call, the woman noted that pills may have also been involved with Scott’s suicide attempt. The caller had limited information about the incident because she explained that she ran out of the house to call the police while a friend tended to Scott inside.
“She had the door locked, and she wouldn’t let me in,” the caller said. “And I kept telling her, ‘I’m coming in, I’m coming in.’ I broke the handle off, and she was laying on the floor.”
She recalls Scott yelling at her “not to call the police” and also referenced hearing Scott say she left a note behind. The Sun reports that the note was found in the bedroom and included a self-made “Do Not Resuscitate” request but offered no other details.
Scott and Eminem (Marshall Mathers) were high school sweethearts and were married from 1999 until they divorced in 2001, having daughter Hailie Jade in 1995. They briefly remarried on January 14, 2006, Eminem filing for divorce just months later on April 5 that same year.
