Piers Morgan Slams Criticism Of Disneyland’s Snow White Ride
Piers Morgan has been complaining about cancel culture and “wokeness” on social media once again.
The former Good Morning Britain host penned a long essay for The Daily Mail yesterday railing against the criticism over the revamped Snow White ride at Disneyland in California.
Morgan wrote, “The latest target of their (extreme illiberal liberals) whiny self-righteous ire is Disney’s newly revamped Snow White’s Enchanted Wish ride at the theme park in Anaheim, California, which has just reopened after 400 days.”
According to Fox News, two journalists from SF Gate recently explained how they found Snow White’s Enchanted Wish problematic because at the end of the ride the Prince kisses Snow White while she’s asleep. They questioned in an op-ed why a non-consensual kiss was included in the children’s attraction. “Haven’t we already agreed that consent in early Disney movies is a major issue? That teaching kids that kissing, when it hasn’t been established if both parties are willing to engage, is not OK? It’s hard to understand why the Disneyland of 2021 would choose to add a scene with such old fashioned ideas of what a man is allowed to do to a woman, especially given the company’s current emphasis on removing problematic scenes from rides like Jungle Cruise and Splash Mountain. Why not re-imagine an ending in keeping with the spirit of the movie and Snow White’s place in the Disney canon, but that avoids this problem?”
56-year-old Morgan called the “wokies” complaint a “load of virtue-signaling” in his rant in The Daily Mail saying, “They find the whole thing incredibly offensive and believe the Prince to be a malevolent sexual deviant because he didn’t ask Snow White for consent – something that may not have struck his mind given that HE THOUGHT SHE WAS DEAD.”
He continued, pointing out that the Prince was “gallantly and tenderly kissing his love goodbye –something that grieving people do to their deceased loves ones every minute of every day all around the world – the Prince saved her life. Then they got married and lived happily ever after.”
“So, there’s nothing sinister about any of this,” Morgan added, “unless your mind is so utterly twisted by the demented desire to be offended by absolutely everything that you’ve taken leave of your senses.”
Kim Irvine, creative executive for Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney Imagineering, said in a statement, “The Snow White attraction has such a rich history. We wanted to take into account the beautiful scenic work that has always existed and retell the story in a special way. We believe guests will enjoy this sweet storyline in a stunning experience.”

Piers Morgan (7.9 million Twitter followers) uses his MailOnline column to attack two female journalists with just under 18k Twitter followers between them for the crime of... disliking an element of a Snow White ride at Disneyland. It’s well-paid bullying and harassment.

Labeling Dr. Seuss a racist wasn’t enough for the left. Ruining Mr. Potato Head didn’t satisfy them. Now they’re coming for Snow White and ‘true love’s kiss’. There is no end to the madness. What’s next?

If a kiss has a good chance of waking someone from a poison-induced coma (bc you’re in fairy-tale land), under accepted principles of medical ethics, consent is implied where it cannot otherwise reasonably be obtained.
