Grammys: Here Are Some Of The Best Performances From The Show
The 63rd Grammys took place last night in Los Angeles and it seemed to be one of the few award shows that figured out how to use the new socially distanced format to actually improve the experience; many of the performance were filmed in advance, and were very produced. There were a few “live” performances with the usual huge production values that we’ve come to expect from the Grammys and even a handful of actual live performances by singers backed by musicians and a few actual bands. Here were some of our favorites.
Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak performed their debut single as Silk Sonic, “Leave The Door Open.” As opposed to their recently released video where everyone is playing instruments, this performance served as an alternate music video, with Mars and Paak, with two other singers, performing (to the track) as a vocal quartet.
Megan Thee Stallion performed “Savage,” followed by Cardi B’s “Up” and then the duo performed a slightly toned-down for TV “WAP. It was performed “live” but was a huge production.
Harry Styles thrilled fans with his performance of “Watermelon Sugar”; unfortunately, only a brief clip of the song has been posted.
The Black Pumas are surely new to a lot of people who watched the Grammy Awards, but they surely got a lot of new fans from their performance of “Colors.”
We’ll add a few more videos as they get posted to YouTube; other highlights of the show include performances by Lil Baby, Taylor Swift and Haim.
