Mary J. Blige To Star In A New Netflix Series
Mary J. Blige and several other big names have signed on to star in a new Netflix family series. Per Deadline, Lost Ollie will be a live-action/animation hybrid family series based on William Joyce and Brandon Oldenburg’s book Ollie’s Odyssey.
Also signed on for the project are Jonathan Groff, Tim Blake Nelson, Gina Rodriguez, Jake Johnson, and Kesler Talbot.
The outlet described the show saying, “Lost Ollie follows a lost toy, searching across the countryside for the boy who lost him, and the story of the boy who lost more than a best friend.”
Mary J. Blige will voice a character named Rosy. Rosy is “a raggedy teddy bear stitched together from other toys. Rosy is a fearless warrior who is deeply passionate with inspiring confidence. While unsure of Ollie at first, she becomes an important ally as she joins them on their journey.”
There is no word yet on when the Netflix show will air.
