Mariah Carey Announces New Album ‘The Rarities’
To celebrate her 30-year career, Mariah Carey has announced that she will release a new album called The Rarities.
She shared the news on social media, writing, “This one is for you, my fans. It’s to celebrate us, and to thank you for years of pure love and support. I am so grateful to you. ”
According to Rolling Stone, the album will be a collection of unreleased tracks and B-sides. The Rarities will also include a second disc of never-before-released full-length audio from Carey’s first live performance in Japan during her 1996 Daydream World Tour.
The collection will also include her new single “Save the Day,” which will sample the Fugees’ rendition of “Killing Me Softly With His Song.” That single will drop this Friday, August 21.
The Rarities will be out on October 2.
