Nicki Minaj Teases Kanye West Collaboration ‘New Body’
Nicki Minaj’s new forthcoming single “New Body” featuring Kanye West might be here soon.
Over the weekend, Minaj appeared on DJ Boof’s Instagram Live, when fans asked the rapper about the unreleased song. The track also features Ty Dolla $ign.
During the Instagram Live session, Minaj shared that she and West shot the video for the long-awaited track. Minaj’s Barbs begged the “Super Bass” rapper to officially release it. Minaj told fans that she would communicate with West.
“Ok lemme hit ‘Ye about ‘New Body.’ I see y’all asking,” Minaj wrote in the chat.
However, Nicki Minaj shared that she’s not the biggest fan of “New Body,” which has now been leaked. “Not gonna lie, I don’t like this song but they do,” Minaj said. She also announced that she will have her own Instagram Live on Friday ( June 12).

The track was originally slated for West’s Yandhi album. Previous reports stated that a cleaner version of the song would appear on the Chicago native’s gospel album Jesus Is King. However, it didn’t make the album.
West spoke about the collaboration with Minaj in 2018. “It’s a ‘Ye concept but I’ma say it to y’all right now. I’m taking two stigmas at once because I love taking stigmas and flipping ’em to a positive–negative energy to a positive,” he told TMZ.
Minaj had previously been quiet on social media. However, the Trinidadian pop star recently spoke out following the death of George Floyd at the hands of a Minneapolis cop.
“Let your voice be heard. Be angry. White people have been using violence against us since the beginning of time. We didn’t invent violence & looting,” Nicki Minaj said. The “Beez In The Trap” rapper also shared several links to various bail funds for protesters on her Instagram story.
