WWE Hall of Famer Rocky Johnson, Father of Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, Dies
Rocky Johnson, the WWE Hall of Famer and father of Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, has died at the age of 75.
First reported by Cauliflower Alley Club and later confirmed by the WWE, a cause of death has not been confirmed at the time of publishing.
Johnson’s career spanned four decades, with the majority of his career spent in the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA.) Johnson would wrestle in the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) from 1983 until his retirement from the ring in 1991. Johnson would notably team up with Tony Atlas as the tag team The Soul Patrol and become the first African-American World Tag Team Champions in WWE history in 1983.
Johnson was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2008 by his son, The Rock.
