DaBaby Remains In Jail Due To Texas Warrant
DaBaby will remain in jail in Miami following the discovery of a warrant in the state of Texas.
DaBaby was arrested on a battery charge in Miami on Thursday (Jan. 2.) WSVN 7 News Miami reports Miami police arrested the rapper after an argument with a music promoter regarding payment for a performance.
After DaBaby, whose given name is Jonathan Kirk, was arrested, a warrant was found for his arrest from Texas, which was also on a battery charge.
The “Suge” rapper made his first appearance in court on Friday morning (Jan. 3), as he was booked into the Miami-Dade jail prior right before midnight.
Miami-Dade Corrections spokesman Juan Diasgranados said in an email that DaBaby will stay in custody until further notice.
