Report: Eddie Murphy Tried To Stop Whitney Houston From Marrying Bobby Brown
More shocking allegations are coming out in Robyn Crawford’s new memoir, A Song For You: My Life With Whitney Houston. According to People, Robyn claims that Whitney was pursuing Eddie Murphy while being pursued by Bobby Brown. She goes into detail about a particular night when Whitney was preparing a dinner for Eddie. She says:
“One day, when Eddie was supposed to come for dinner, I caught a glimpse of Whitney. “She was wearing a black dress and low-heeled slingbacks. For a moment, I thought, ‘Boy, I wish she was doing that for me.'” She goes on to say that Eddie never showed up, which devastated Whitney.
Robyn also said that years later, Eddie Murphy tried to stop Whitney Houston from marrying Bobby Brown. She says, “[That day] Eddie Murphy called to say she was making a mistake, but she pressed ahead.”
To recap, Robyn Crawford was Whitney Houston’s best friend, and she is claiming that the pair were romantic partners.
