Whitney Houston’s Best Friend Is Releasing A Tell-All Book About Their Love Affair
Whitney Houston’s best friend, Robyn Crawford, is breaking her silence about their friendship and relationship. Per People, she will release a memoir that discusses their love story.
The book, A Song For You: My Life With Whitney Houston, will address rumors that have always surrounded the pair’s friendship. Crawford explains, “I’d come to the point where I felt the need to stand up for our friendship. And I felt an urgency to stand up and share the woman behind the incredible talent.” She also adds, “We wanted to be together, and that meant just us.”
In the book, Crawford will also go into detail about why they allegedly weren’t publicly together. One reason being that Houston’s mother disapproved. “She said if people find out about us, they would use this against us. And back in the ’80s that’s how it felt. I kept it safe. I found comfort in my silence.”
A Song For You: My Life With Whitney Houston will be out on November 12.
