Pat Houston Says Robyn Crawford Is ‘Entitled’ To Write Book On Whitney Houston
During the grand-opening of Tyler Perry’s new studios that took place recently, Pat Houston spoke with Entertainment Tonight‘s Kevin Frazier and said that Robyn Crawford is “entitled” to write her book about her relationship with Whitney Houston.
“You know she’s entitled but who knows what the book is about. It’s her story. Is it fair to say she can’t write a book? No, it isn’t,” Pat said while on the red carpet.
“She had a relationship with her. Whatever it was, she’s deciding to write a book. Hey, she can do that.”
Crawford was Whitney’s longtime friend and rumored lover who has a forthcoming tell-all memoir titled A Song For You: My Life With Whitney. The memoir is slated to be released on November 12 via Dutton.
Amazon describes the book as a “deeply personal and heartfelt.” “A Song for You is the vital, honest, and previously untold story that provides an understanding of the complex life of Whitney Houston. Finally, the person who knew her best sets the record straight,” the description continues.
During the quick interview, Pat also shared a bit about Whitney and Perry’s relationship. “She loved Tyler. They were great friends and she would be proud,” Pat said.
