Leslie Jones To Host, Executive Produce ‘Supermarket Sweep’ Reboot
Supermarket Sweep is returning to television! The game show that’s geared towards grocery shopping enthusiasts is one of the many TV shows receiving a reboot recently.
Saturday Night Live alum Leslie Jones is slated to host and executive produce the reboot, as Deadline reports. Bill Malone was previously the host of the iconic game show that features contestants speeding through grocery store aisles and filling their carts with highly valuable products.
Supermarket Sweep first debuted on ABC in 1965, but the revival of the grocery shopping show premiered on Lifetime in 1990. It’s currently unclear when exactly the reboot of Supermarket Sweep will air. A myriad of television networks are currently reportedly bidding on the show, according to Country Living.
