No Joke: Nick Jonas Wants To Start A Band With Mariah Carey
Perhaps, you saw the news that Mariah Carey wants to start a band with Nick Jonas. That’s what she wrote on Instagram after meeting up with the JoBro and his wife Priyanka Chopra. And sure, that statement of hers came with an “lol” but the JoBro seems seriously interested in teaming up with Mimi.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Jonas talked about that now famous caption Carey shared with her followers. “starting a new band… lol,” she wrote. “I’m down,” Jonas told ET. “If Mariah wants to start the band I’m for it.” Let’s imagine their fans would be, too.
For now, there are no collaborations with Carey in the works. In fact, that picture was totally unplanned. “We were randomly at the same restaurant as Mariah,” he told ET, “and unfortunately she couldn’t come to the show tonight [at Madison Square Garden] because she had her own show, but in Vegas we’re going to go see Mariah. It’s going to be fun.”
The Jonas Brothers are currently on the U.S. leg of their Happiness Begins tour until December. In November, Carey kicks off her Christmas concert series All I Want for Christmas Is You in Las Vegas.
