Kelly Clarkson Covers ‘People’ Magazine, Discusses Talk Show and Being a Mom
Kelly Clarkson is filming The Voice and is gearing up to premiere her new talk show The Kelly Clarkson Show, and she recently spoke to People about her hectic schedule, children, and her priorities. (Spoiler: her number one priority is her children.)
“When we were doing the schedule for the show, I was like, ‘I have to drop my kids off at school.’ And I’m always the one who puts them to bed. You just have to prioritize and juggle and make people know it’s an important thing. And don’t feel guilty about it.”
Clarkson admits that being a parent is hard work. “Some days I totally hide in the bathroom and I’m crying, going, ‘Oh my God, this is a lot.’ Everybody does. Every parent does, especially when you’re like, ‘Am I screwing up my children? Or nailing it? I have no idea. I’m sure a little of both.”
Kel;y also discusses her celebrity status. “I’m just normal. The thing people say most about me is that I don’t act like a celebrity.”
The Voice premieres on September 23. The Kelly Clarkson Show kicks off on September 9.
