Lil Nas X’s VMA Speech Turns into a Hilarious Meme
Last night, Lil Nas X won his first career award by winning Song of the Year with Billy Ray Cyrus for “Old Town Road” at the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards. Also, congrats to Lil Nas X for being part of the internet’s newest meme.
The singer hilariously pulled out a scroll during his Song of the Year VMA speech when he was giving thanks for his award, and that’s all it took for the internet to turn the moment into a meme. Note that he was also wearing a blinged-out red and yellow suit, red glasses, and a red cowboy hat during, which made the situation even funnier.
After Lil Nas X took out his scroll, the cameras panned to Lizzo who was seen uncontrollably laughing, holding her blinged-out bottle of Patron, of course.
