Nikki Bella and Artem Chigvintsev are Official
Most people just change their Facebook status when their relationships change, but not Nikki Bella and Artem Chigvintsev. They took it to the next level.
The couple, who have been dating for about seven months, has stayed mum about details of their relationship, but they’ve finally given fans what they’ve been waiting for – an official title change. They did it in a cute way too! They posted a video of them dancing to Rita Ora’s song “Let You Love Me” on The Bella Twins YouTube page, with the hashtag #Official.
The pair also went on the Bellas Podcast yesterday to talk more about the video and their status. In the podcast, also titled #Official, it’s easy to hear the couple’s chemistry as they joke and tease each while chatting. During the episode, Nikki explains that “The main reason why we did this dance is.. I guess to..tell everyone like, I guess that we’re like, we’re boyfriend and girlfriend.”
They explain that they chose the Rita Ora song because the lyrics describe their relationship and the journey they’ve been on. They also add that the song is near and dear to their heart.
Nikki goes into even more detail on the song saying “This song really hit me hard because I just felt like, ‘Ok, I’m falling for this guy really fast but I want – not that I want to avoid it – but I just keep trying to push Artem away because I wasn’t ready for anything.'” She adds, “Like, what was coming at me with Artem, this amazing guy and he just makes me laugh and it’s just easy to be around him, and he makes me feel stress-free. I felt myself falling for him a lot. But then I felt like I was acting out in ways… I was avoiding it and these lyrics hit me hard because she’s kind of talking about that.”
Former WWE superstar, Nikki Bella, and Artem Chigvintsev met when he was her partner on Dancing With the Stars in 2017, and they remained friends. Of course, everyone knows that Nikki dated WWE’s John Cena until they called off their engagement April of 2018.
Artem has popped up here and there on Nikki and Brie’s reality show Total Bellas.
