Kim Kardashian Throws a CBD-Themed Baby Shower

Kim Kardashian just threw a baby shower for her soon-to-be-born fourth child. And in true to “what’s trending right now” form, it was a CBD-theme.
CBD, short for cannabidiol, is an extract of marijuana plants and does not contain the psychoactive component traditionally associated with its marijuana cousin, THC. In states where it is legal (including California, of course), it’s become the hottest new trend. Seriously — you can get CBD lattes, candies, body oils and beauty products, bath salts of the non-zombie transforming variety. Ask any CBD enthusiast and it does everything from curing anxiety to healing pretty much any ailment under the sun.
So, of course, the Kardashians, queens of the “moment,” jumped on the bandwagon. Apparently, Kim is a big fan of CBD and uses it to keep her worries at bay.
“I thought it was kinda ridiculous to have a fourth baby shower…but, I thought, I’m freaking the fuck out [about] having a fourth kid,” Kim told her guests in a video captured on social media. “So everyone have a puff or put on some oil.”
Guests were able to create their own CBD products and overall everyone was clearly feeling pretty zen. Not only did the shower include CBD, but also meditation practices like a group sound bath.
