After sharing a montage of self-recorded cell phone videos, Solange took to Twitter to share details about the creation of her latest album, When I Get Home.

Solange tweeted about her adoration for rapper Gucci Mane and his wife, Keyshia Ka’oir. The singer said that Gucci Mane’s music “been apart of some of the best most freeing moments of my life.” She also said that when she was really sick and lost hope, the rapper’s autobiography kept her going.

A Twitter user mentioned the slight dip in Solange’s voice on her song “Things I Imagined,” and Solange explained that repetition has assisted her with reinforcing her truth. Hence the repetition on the song. Solange shared that by the 11th time she sang, “I saw things I imagined,” she actually felt it.
