Justin Bieber Asks Fans for Prayers, Admits He’s Been ‘Struggling’
Justin Bieber is asking his fans to pray for his mental health as he admitted to “struggling a lot” in a new Instagram post.
Bieber posted a photo of himself in a group prayer (with Kanye West) and admitted that he is facing the most “human season” of his life.
He wrote:
“Just wanted to keep you guys updated a little bit hopefully what I’m going through will resonate with you guys. Been struggling a lot. Just feeling super disconnected and weird.. I always bounce back so I’m not worried just wanted to reach out and ask for your guys to pray for me. God is faithful and ur prayers really work thanks .. the most human season I’ve ever been in facing my stuff head on..”
Bieber, who just turned 25 last month, recently entered treatment for depression.
In an interview with Vogue Magazine, he admitted that he has previously gone through emotional struggles.
“I haven’t talked about this, and I’m still processing so much stuff that I haven’t talked about,” he said of a previous struggle while on tour in 2017. “I was lonely. I needed some time.”
“I found myself doing things that I was so ashamed of, being super-promiscuous and stuff, and I think I used Xanax because I was so ashamed,” he said.
Later, he told fans he was taking time off from music to work on his spiritual life.
Bieber recently married model Hailey Baldwin and the two admitted in the same interview that while marriage is hard work, they are both committed to each other.
