Toddler Found Sitting In Cart In Target Parking Lot
A toddler was found in a shopping cart outside a Target in Easton, Massachusetts today.
Police officers were dispatched to the Target on Robert Drive earlier, amid reports of an unattended child.
When they arrived, they found the 18-month-old boy still in the shopping cart outside the store.
According to WCVB, the child was transported to a nearby hospital. It is not believed that he was injured during the ordeal.
Footage obtained inside Target showed the boy in the store with four adults.
After shopping, the four individuals left the parking lot without the toddler.
Nearly an hour after the child had been transported to the hospital, one of the adults in the vehicle reportedly phoned officers to say they had accidentally left a child in the Target parking lot.
At this time, it is not clear if the toddler will be returned to the adults.
Local authorities and children’s services are still investigating.
